IMMF @International Arts Associations Congress (IAAC)

13-17 February 2018 Performing Arts Connections Australia (PAC) and the NordicBaltic Festival Platform (NBFP) hosted a group of 15 umbrella organisations in the cultural field, including the IMMF, at at the inaugural International Arts Associations Congress (IAAC) in Perth, Australia. The meeting was called to explore commonalities and opportunities for collaboration to build value for the members of associations and networks. Many constructive work sessions where held with the ISPA | International Society for the Performing Arts, the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA), AMPAG – Australian Major Performing Arts Group, Performing Arts Network of NZ (PANNZ), CircuitWest, Association of Asia Pacific Performing Arts Centres (AAPPAC) and others. As a result it was agreed to draw up a MoU and take forward 5 topics: 1) The Value Proposition / Advocacy 2) Research 3) Programmes / Initiatives 4) Markets / Conferences 5) Digital tools


We would like to thank PAC Australia, NBFP and also the City of Perth, Fringe World Festival, Perth Festival, Perth Theatre Trust and the WA Department of Local Government, Sports and Cultural Industries who made this come to life and we hope for fruitful continued exchange.
